hi just wanted to ask if there is a limit on the time you can keep mice and rats in the freezer? also do any of you feed your snakes chicks as a treat??? cause i was thinking about getting some but didnt know if it was good to chop and change and if you do give you snakes chicks do you take the beak off the chick??

i will have a dedicated freezer just for mice and rats so there should be loads of space left. i was going to keep each type in a 3ltr rub and keep them all dated... |

Same as above. I will say though, bear in mind if your supplier only dabbles in frozen food, their stock may not turn over regularly. Before now I bought from a small supplier of frozen food and the mice (for my corn) were not the freshest! Most are fine of course, I'd say to avoid taking too much freezer space and to keep fresh I keep to 2-3 months. Unless you have a dedicated freezer! |

I wouldn't like to keep them for more than 6 months but then with 4 snakes I don't have to as they all feed really well and I just keep enough for a month |

as i said on TCS you can keep them up to year and over if stored correctly |

some sites say 6 months others say 4. i dont know really. i only buy for the month which is 4 as snake feeds 1 a week have a look on google. |
