hi i was wondering if anyone could help while i had my snake out today after cleaning its viv something sharp caught my arm after having a look at my snakes tummy i noticed two little hooks coming out of its bottom area ,i was told the snake was a girl when i recued her but i have just read that these hooks could make her a him is this right , |

cheers ive never noticed them before and i handle him/her quite regular so it was a shock to see them is there a reason for them to be so prominent all of a sudden . |

Those sound to me like anal spurs, they're much more obvious in males but both sexes do have them. You could have a male or a girl with prominent spurs, the only way to tell for sure would be to get her probed by a vet. |
