Posted - 16/01/2011 : 16:11:22 Went yesterday. Quite interesting and did learn a bit too. Quite a number of snakes and other rep's.
I was in awe of the huge size and ability to get so close to the Black Mamba's and the "king" I must have spent half hour just watching the King cobra. He was quite active and was just the other side of the glass staring me out. So carefully in what he did and fierce yet calm looking snake. Just awe-inspiring. The pair of Black Mambas were much bigger than i expected. And VERY active. I can see why they are so feared and can cause so much trouble.
Unfortuantly i forgot my camera so used someone elses and didn't quite get all the settings right so here they are
King Cobra

Emerald tree boa

Dumerils

False Water Cobra

Diamond Python

Jamaican Boa

Egyptian Snouted Cobra

Puff Adder

Long Nosed Viper

Armenian Viper

Sidewinder

Milk Snake

Green Mamba

Golden Eyelash Viper

Black Mamba

Royal

Mangrove snake

Posted - 17/01/2011 : 21:22:31 Ok, so i tad sad and just dug the film out and had a look. It was filmed in there but the burm viv was actually built in the exhibit area to the left as you walk in |

Posted - 17/01/2011 : 21:07:01 The HP burm wasn't there. They didn't have any Burms. I did try looking for the HP enclosure but i didn't find it as the railings and brickwork are all different. I'm scepticle it was even filmed in there |

Great pics. Thanks for sharing.
I went there about 3 years ago and it was so busy I could hardly get near any of them :( I wanted to spend the whole day in the reptile hous but my mum and daughter had other ideas lol
Did you see the famous Harry Potter Burm?
Ooo - sorry to hijack the thread, Welly, but I see you've got your new kingsnake, Louise, congrats - he's gorgeous!
Thank you. Didn't want to bore everyone as I have posted on a few other forums but I will post on here as well (in other reptile section) so you can see |

Posted - 17/01/2011 : 13:20:36 Loved the Black Mamba since before i can remember, i remember writing to them asking for either a shedded skin or a part of a shed but they said no due to health and safety reasons i was gutted. Cant wait to go down and see it |
