if you bred it to:

albino x normal= 100% het albino
these would all look normal, but would have the gene for albino in them

if you bred a baby back to the father, so
albino x het albino= 50% albino and 50% het albino
this means that you would get 50% visual albino, and again 50% het albinos

if you bred
albino x albino= 100% albino

but the albino x albino would cost a lot to bye 2 albinos

but if you buy a male albino, you could breed it to 2-3 female het albinos, or just one lol
hope this helps

You just explained about 6 months worth of reading on Google in one paragraph.
Thanks for that man!

What kind of price is an Albino?
Looked on google and they are such an amazing looking snake for a relatively "normal" Royal...

lol, eventually u start to get it, the somone will ask u somtheing to do with a 4 gene snake, and it gets confusing again lol

Thanks for that the explination was very easy to understand, I'm a bit lost with the whole genetics thing I have been reading uo on it but there's so much its been giving me a headache!! Think I'm slowly begining to get it now :)

I know this may sound a stupid question but what is a het albino and what sort of babies would I expect if I got a male albino and bred to a female het albino?? I'm new to this whole snake keeping
reptiledanny Posted - 19/01/2011 : 17:10:13
like bob sed, u can never go wrong with a female, but it depends on if u plan to breed, if u plan to breed, then i would maybe advise a male albino and then buy a female het albino
CoN Posted - 19/01/2011 : 16:57:29
I agree with Bob.
Royalbob Posted - 19/01/2011 : 12:34:58
you can never go wrong with getting a Female
suzie q Posted - 19/01/2011 : 11:50:56
As soon as I can take some pics I will put them up, I'm really exited about this, just need to decide male or female really can't make up my mind
reptiledanny Posted - 19/01/2011 : 10:29:48
