I started handling Duke yesterday. I plan on doing 2 days handling, then 2 days off for him to recover. He is far more settled than when he first arrived but oh boy is he jumpy, he isn't frightened and is exploring and climbing and noseying but will jump out of his skin at the most trivial things. The funniest thing is how him jumping makes me jump. I know he is still getting used to everything and will calm but I'm really enjoying watching him explore and its a learning experience for me too, getting used to handling a bigger bodied snake than a corn snake.

It has taken a while settling him, getting him eating and making sure he is eating consistently but its been so great handling him properly and well worth the wait.
