I live in a small apartment block and I live on the top floor, I didn't want to hide my snakes so have been open with my neighbours about it but I also wanted my neighbours to not be worried about them.
Today I was sitting on the balcony with Duke sunning himself on my belly, when I heard my neighbours down in the garden so I shouted down to them and showed them Duke, they were amazed at him and genuinely wanted to see him up close so I went down to the garden with him. I asked them to not move quickly round him as he is still only young and a bit jumpy so they just admired him, they were close enough for Duke to smell so he stretched up and had a sniff of them ala tongue flick and i told them a bit about him and what he eats and that he was totally safe and locked up in a cage most of the time.
From my point of view Duke was calm, and relaxed the whole time and gave my neighbours the perfect demonstration of how nice snakes are.

Well if I was an elderly person in a nursing home and saw Pandora I might just die of envy!!

Said home might be getting swamped with militant demands to keep reptiles lol!

Not that I know of but once Pandora is feeling better she's going in next, that could clear out a few rooms ^^

Well done Duke for behaving himself. I'm being nagged by all the guys at work to bring Dio in to show them. I've told them they're going to have to wait until he's more used to us. It's going to be interesting though as all the women at work seem to have snake phobias and think i'm crazy. I could scare quite a few customers too as i work in a petrol station lol.

Say no more, nudge nudge wink wink, the English have quite a name for getting up to ...er...shenanigans... all over the world ... AND Karla was found brothel creeping, isn't that so?

Sorry - only kidding - snake jokes are irresistible!

And as for Bob sitting on his balcony with his snake sunbathing on his belly ...

You got your snakes out??!!!

It's good to hear Duke is doing a little public relations. Good work Bob. The more people are introduced to snakes the less their fear will be.

I'm a member of 2 English speaking clubs here in Germany and I got all 3 of my snakes out for them last month. All bar 2 were really enthusiastic. Might even have converted one into a corn fan.

Good service to snakes bob!
I did my duty a few months ago when I took diablo and valhalla into the local old peoples home, a few of them had to leave through fear but most were happy to see them and hear about them, went well

Just spreading the joy

He was as good as gold but since he shed he has been a different snake, he shed his bad attitude at the same time. He has been the only snake where I'm just waiting to get bit but I'm really not anymore. Just shows even the naughty ones mellow right down with a little bit of tlc and patience.
