Posted - 15/04/2011 : 21:16:11 I am well pleased to announce that Tia ate her first rat today. I had defrosted it with 3 mice (emergency back up food) by laying it above the IR bulb all day, as usual. I put her in her feeding rub and then blasted the rat with a hair dryer for a couple of minutes. She looked at it sideways (I love it when she looks like that), then wham, she hit it and curled round it. After a couple of minutes she gave me a full on view of her swallowing it. It was by far the biggest thing she's ever eaten and I had to think of the African python in Life in cold blood. Man these pythons have a cake hole on them. |

Posted - 15/04/2011 : 21:34:07 Bats, you make it sound as though your hair went of its own accord. My syrup is too short to need a hair dryer, but this is the best use for one I've found. |
