I normally handle Duke when I come home from work at about 6 but not today I've been busy so got him out at 10 instead. Who swapped Duke my shy jumpy royal for that nutter I just did battle with for 10 minutes. It was like wrestling Hulk Hogans arm and oh boy is Duke of Hazard strong. I liked that side of him, I don't know if he is happier in his viv with the new plants and deeper hide or just the time of night but its a different snake. Mental but so much fun to watch. I tell you what though when he hits adult size he'll be handling me. |

Aw bless him!
I got florence out in the afternoon once as a friend wanted to meet her and she was very subdued and didnt like to be woken up but at night she is a little star, into everything! |

That's snakes for you - an infinite variety.
I have known Shahi be bolder at night. I remember him shedding around midnight and then zooming out for armchair walkies with yawning Lil - well, I'm older than he is ... |

Yeah he was so much more confident than normal, he bumped his head a few times and he just didn't seem to care, in fact he seemed to be head butting things quite deliberately, he found it fun to nudge at my thuimb about 5 times, I braced for a bite but he just carried on his bulling about. Normally the slightest touch to his head and he recoils like a shotgun but not tonight. It was a joy it really was, I just hope he has turned a corner when it comes to his shyness. |

hehehe a nice arm wrestle for u then ! cant wait till we can get zac there and have him out . still waiting for him to feed and settle . on a hands of period with all our snakes , ones in shed , zacs settling in an kai had feeding probs as u kno from other forum . but yay for u and duke , wil u be getting him out later from now on ? |
