Hiya

A bit of advise please, as title says ive finally managed to get earl onto rats after a lot of trying

To do this ive been feeding him every 7 days on his favoured adult mice weighing between 32g and 34g for 1 week and a couple of rat fuzzies the next week to try to give him a taste for rat, normally when offered a rat other than the small fuzzies he would just sniff the rat offered and literally run away so after a month or so of alternating the feeding as above tried him on a rat weighing 49g so perfect to keep him going for a while as earl weighed in at 408g before this feed

My question is would you leave him 10 days between feeds now or stick to 7 days as this feed is considerably bigger than normal and I don`t want him getting overweight, he is out of his viv on a daily basis apart from the obvoius 2 days after feeding and gets quite lively when out so has plenty of exercise, what ya all reckon ?

If he'll take it, feed it. They ain't rules, just guidelines

That's great - congRATS!!

According to the thoughts of Chairman Blackecho ... 400-800g snakes - feed every 7 days. So I personally would feed him every week.
