Posted - 26/04/2011 : 19:38:46 Aww he'll be fine - better gradually moving up than too much too soon - he won't starve, honest!
Usually it's a couple of days from clear to shed but, yeah, they're all different! (And he's most likely to tkake a dump when he sheds - they save it up lol.
Good luck with his shed. |

Posted - 26/04/2011 : 18:50:03 Thx BATS thought it was 10%, def. needs a weaner just weighed him and he is 275grams, but still hasnt pooed, and he ate it very quick, poor things starving (nasty mum). Will get some tomorrow and give him another in 5 days. His eyes were blue last friday but clear today, how long does it take to shed after this or are they all different? |

Posted - 26/04/2011 : 18:31:34 According to Blackecho - feed 10/15% snake's bodyweight; snakes 0-400g feed every 5 days.
According to my supplier rat fluffs weigh 19g approx; small weaners 37 approx - at this weight a small weaner rat would be perfect for Zuri.
However, many suppliers differ (I think I mentioned buying small weaner rats locally and coming back home with two capybaras lol ...)
If in doubt, your supplier should weigh the prey for you, but certainly sounds like Zuri's ready to move on from fluffs in the next week or two. |
