any idea how much i will be looking at paying for a male 2011 pinstipe?

while i was buying rats yesterday i enquired if they had bred any to which he said yes but he wouldn't give me a rough price as he wont look at prices until they are feeding. so i gave him my number and he will give me a call if he has any males. the gf gave me a side ways look and said ok but only if i quit smoking. thats good enough motivation for me lol

Just noticed that Blue Lizard (in Sheffield but they courier, £14) have been selling 2010 male pins for £219. All sold now.

I haven't bought a royal from them, but Ziska and Shiloh came from them and I'm very pleased with the snakes and courier service.

Lemonblasts all the way. Saw both when i got my Bumblebee and it blew the super pastels away.

I dont think its necessarily a buyers market, just that with the lower priced morphs they appear to drop in price by £100 every year. 2 years ago Pastels were £300 now you can pick up a male for around £120.
Im waiting for Pieds to get to the £500 mark, not to long to wait considering the fact that they halfed their price in just over 2 years

firstly i was thinking of getting another pastel and shooting for a super but i just love the pins. i could always go down that route in the future

i would rather get a british cb than an import. theres no rush if the breeder doesn't get any males as my pastel a cb10 so i wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer. thanks anyway tho

o i do want to quit i find it easy at home not to smoke, its at work i find it hard when i get stressed trying to get jobs done with less hours on them than it takes to do the job (the bosses seem to think it doesn't matter if they take 10hrs off a job) but i will get there

i agree with u bob, worth what your prepared to pay for it. i know i payed over the odds for clover but fell in love with her. i just wanted a rough idea of what they are worth so i don't get ripped off, not that i think the breeder will, its always nice to know if the price they say is about right

a pin will make a nice fella for clover lol

I think an animal is worth what your prepared to pay for them. Duke is a normal and he was £100, but had full history and I handled him and fell for his silly duck face. That price to lots would be paying over the odds but to me he was worth every penny.

My motivation to quit was snakes too, told myself I could buy one once my cigarette money could pay for it. Took 2 months to get a corn snake and viv, couple of months later a python and viv and then a few months later a Boa and setup. 9 months off the cigarettes cold turkey and haven't had even 1 craving, when you want to quit you'll do it and won't need any help doing it either.

LOL - chat up some mates who take foreign holidays, get them to bring you back duty free Golden Virginia baccy, roll your own, and it's cheap enough to go on smoking and STILL buy snakes and vivs etc etc etc!

it is a buyers market but that is not good, as anyone who maybe plans to breed any of there royals will be at a loss, so to me i would rather try and keep prices are fair amounts instead of finding the best deal out.i plan to stick to one breeder so i now there prices, and i now he is not the cheapest breeder, and i could find cheaper specimens, but his animals are top quality and he himslef is a top quality guy, who will help me anything.
to the OP, a male pin would prob be about £250
