ok went on a classified forum . a guy has some snakes he wants to give away . he moved with his family over to cameroon where he breeds them , his wife is pregnant and he is now working more so he wants to get rid of them . he says they are CB's and he has the papers and health certificates , come with "cities permit" (??) all i need to pay is the shipping fee and give him updates on how the snakes gettin on periodically . does this sound odd ? or should i rip his hands off? xx |

Oh dear me ... there are posts on the dark side going 4 years back, I'm afraid, about beardies, offering the same sort of deal, from people, men and women, apparently based in the Cameroons ... weird or what? I will try and trace this particular guy though. As I remember he was offering all sorts of morphs wild caught, which is why the dark side member decided to put him to the test, because his story didn't add up.

I will try and do some research - if not tonight, tomorrow - yes, be interesting to see if it's the same guy. As I remember he had a very flowery, laboured, formal writing/speaking style ...

Hi - have only just seen this thread ... when I used to go on the dark side, there was a guy (from the Cameroons too!) making the same kind of offer, and someone actually played him at his own game, emailing him and recording phone calls etc. I think they actually ended up meeting in the UK. It was a con, I'm afraid.
That was about a year ago - could even be the same guy trying his luck again.
Pity - and unless you've come across this sort of thing before it does sound like a brilliant deal. But I'd be very wary. |

i replied to the forum add and then told him to email me , and he has and also said to give him a call on a foreign number (which i havent ) he added some pics of someone holding them . but the email was more broken english . i have mailed him aload of questions so will see what he says back to try and trick the trickster . it just sounds waaaay to good to be true! |
