WHY. Last time Zuri shed it was complete, this time there are bits and pieces everywhere half still on body, I knew he was going into shed so i put another waterbowl up warm end and also put a moss hide in. Have given him warm bath and let him slip though the towel. He also left me with a wee ball and poo in warm hide, nearly had 3 out of 3. Any ideas please???? |

Rhx everyone, all off now, warm bath and pillowcase worked, will keep a close eye on next time. Now too see if he will feed tomorrow |

If ever my kids have troubles I keep a small bottle of zoo med reptishedding aid handy, a couple of quick squirts, rub it in and bout 5 mins later the skin will come away easily  |

When Guybrush has had bad sheds in the past I've plonked him in a bath of warm water for a soak and while he is in the bath I gently stroke off the remaining shed. Luckily he seems to quite like it and it gets all the shed off. if the tip of his tail is still there frankly I pick it off with my thumb nail, he doesn't even seem to notice. |

Its just one of those things, my cornsnake has always shed in one piece but the last two sheds have been rubbish and to top it off I get a retained tail tip too. I think its a humidity thing, next time you see Zuri go blue bump the humidity up to around 80%, Duke's blue at the moment, he has a damp face cloth on his hot side hide, its rinsed out and replaced daily and I spray the foliage if humidity drops below 60% for the duration of the shedding period, Its only a week out of 3-4 months so it won't have any ill effects.
Edit: As above, tail tip and eyecaps are the priority. |

Aww, naughty Zuri - sometimes they just do shed like that, despite everything you do ...I remember Shahi, as a youngster, prancing up and down looking as if he was draped in a net curtain lol!
The main thing is - has he got eyecaps and tailtip off? Everything in between doesn't matter as much. Although it would be good if it came off, of course.
Another thing you could do is: Wet a pillowcase, put Zuri in it and tie the top, then put into a ventilated rub for 30 minutes, supervised, and let him squirm; will dampen and bring a lot of skin scraps off, we hope. All the best.
