Hi bats just thought I'd let you know I finally picked a name for my new arrival which sould be with me Sunday, I'm going to call her ECHIDNA now I'm sure you'll know who she is but for everyone else she was actually the mother of Cerberus and was half woman and half snake

Ha ha I thought I'd heard the name before but couldn't place it and don't worry Ariadne is on hold but don't tell the wife cause she thinks I'm only getting two lmao

Congrats - I bet you can't wait. I didn't know, as a matter of fact - I always thought 'Echidna' was the Latin name of the spiny ant eater, but never came across it in mythology (or heard it and forgot - I were nobbut a lass then and all this round here were fields!) Just googled her and found that she's the mother of most of the mythological monsters.

They seem to have been heavily into shape changing in classical mythology - like that one about Zeus turning into the swan - 'take me to your Leda!'

Happy snakeday in advance and welcome home little Echidna.
