Posted - 06/07/2011 : 15:16:31 Well it was Freddies first feed with me, picked him up from the shop (Dragons den exotics) on monday and have had him in RUB Since I got him home.
After reading everything about royals being fussy feeders I wasn't holding out much hope for him today, but never the less I defrosted and warmed his lovely small mouse, I took him out of his RUB and placed him in a container to see if he would feed in there, no joy! So after reading some more info, I re warmed his mouse.
bit hotter this time and left Fred in his RUB, he like hangin out on top of his warm hide (strange creature!) so I figured if that's where he likes it I'll bring the mouse to him!
Dangled it in front of him and BAM! striked, constricted and chowed down on the mouse!
Will check in a few hours to see if it's still in him but for now all is good!! |

I just thought if I was lying down in a hot climate I would rather not move to be fed! Just glad he ate after all the stories of royals not eating!! |
