Posted - 14/07/2011 : 22:06:45 Fred was due a feed today but I tried yesterday as in going away fro a few days tomorrow morning. I prepped the mouse same as last time he fed only this time he struck at the mouse twice, hit it both times but didn't grab it.
So I left the mouse in over night didn't disturb him but still no joy, have taken the mouse out and will try again the morning.
Any one got any good ideas to help him feed? I know he will be ok till I come back but I just worry as you do!
Thanks Jacko

Posted - 15/07/2011 : 11:10:19 my vanilla has gone through a similar thing recently Jacko, i lost my grip on the mouse's tail and it fell on his 'back end', after that he got a bit scared and beat it up a few times but wouldn't eat it, no sir-ee! I've also found if u try and encourage them to eat when not hungry it can put them off for longer? Fred will prob be fine in a week as other members have said so try not to worry ;) |

That way he will be sitting in his hide and get a whiff of prey and go hunting rather thnan have a mouse waggled at him. But as above give it a week so he forgets about the mouse that attacked him, lol. |
