Ok, so do snakes fart?
There I was standing at my back door having a ciggie, when I heard this VERY loud gurgling type sound. I looked back and there was Oscar arching his back and making this noise. Honestly, I had to pick my jaw up off the ground.
I assumed he was doing his business finally, but no, there's nothing there, just a smell lol  .
So do they, or is there something wrong? He seems fine. |

Its something you just dont consider but digestion creates gases in all animals. I got a shock the first time Duke sounded off, I was picking him up and he vibrated in my hands. |

Like the coral snake in the vid, pine snakes, pituophis, do that 'cloacal popping' too - since Ziska's a pit too, it's not surprising. She rattles her tail a lot but this wasn't a tail rattle. Rather cute really. Haven't heard any of my royals fart - yet. Must sound like the 1812 overture! |

Yup - they fart!
The other day I got Ziska out, and she was a bit sleepy; in fact she didn't wake up until she was in my hands; requisite face-making and language, and then, from her rear end, a noise like a miniature machine gun!
Fortunately for me, she didn't follow through ...phew, relief! |
