just wondering if anyone knew where i can get peat moss and vermiculite from ? thanks

will def have a nosey next time im at the garden centres , its just to fill a lay box for when indie comes on tuesday as i kno shes been paired with a male this year so just incase we catch any of the last eggs of the season .

yeah,but thats not a very big bag,for £3/£4 you can get a 4kg bag at the garden centre.

No additives in the 'gardman' brand I got from B&Q - and it would have said so on the packet as a selling point. But if there's a brand produced specially for reps, yes I'd use that for preference.

vermiculite from any garden centre,With all the other potting soils etc.

As for the peat moss,Sold at garden centres to,However be careful and read the labels.As most will have added stuff.Come to think about it,It will most likely all have added/enriched with plant food etc.

So get something like the zoo med reptile moss etc.

We use Eco earth in our lay boxes sprayed often to keep it moist
From sps cheap as well if your ordering some more bits

Although we have taken it out now as she has no eggs left :(

And use vermiculite for our incubator medium ;) from a garden store in 5 l bags fir aout £5

Hi, is peat moss the same as sphagnum moss, the stuff used in damp hides? Because garden centres sell it for hanging baskets, and vermiculite too - you'll find the vermiculite with the smaller bags of potting compost - it's used for rooting cuttings etc. Wilkinson's sell it too, but maybe not at this time of year with the store full of jolly Xmas horrors ...
