Typical, after refusing all since mid August Stig took a spare rat weaner tonight (waaaaay too small for him). Weird thing is he is in shed too! Weird snake. Guess that's why I like him, keeps me surprised.

Thanks for that, I was in 2 minds as to whether to just go for it, all his existing stuff is moving with him plus a few new additons to fill the larger space, its in a nice nook too partially behind a chair and its ceramic heating so I think he will prefer that viv.

agree with BATS would move him during the fast, wont do any harm.

For some reason though mine dont seem to be fasting possibly as I keep them next to my king snakes and told them theres a mirror between rubs ;) so they may have an identity crisis, they may think they are kings :D

If he's fasting, he's fasting ...I'd move him. In fact, they seem dozier when they're fasting; could be an ideal time to move them. I moved Saada a while back and despite taking all her personal stuff, hides and the like with her, it knocked her off one feed. She soon bounced back though. Really I wouldn't worry about moving Duke ...and we all want to see pics of the new viv stack in action lol.

Well Duke only took that one meal, maybe a little snack on the fast. He has settled down with his pacing though. I'm pretty much settled into him been in fast mode, bit annoying as I wanted to move him into his new home in a few weeks but now I'm not so sure its a good idea (they know howe to pick their moments).

Looks like my lot have joined your club, D3l.

Saada and Surahi last ate on 13 Oct,Shahi a week later. Last time I offered Saada a rat she struck and coiled ...and then decided to keep it for later ...

Shahi looks tremendously interested when I blow dry ratty, but not a nibble ...

Still they've been gannets all summer and gained plenty of weight so no problems, bless them. Will just keep offering smaller prey items every fortnight, and if no takers, I have a gang of willing colubrids to finish up leftovers lol.

It is with deepest regret () That I have to withdraw my claim that Duke is fasting.
Tawfik47 Posted - 10/10/2011 : 08:56:09
Blitz just started to eat last month so i'll be greatfull if he won't fast this year
Lotabob Posted - 09/10/2011 : 23:24:55
Duke, hasn't eaten since the end of August. He has a weaner rat in with him tonight a drop in size to try coax him to eat something but I'm not feeling hopeful that he will eat.
