where do your royals spend most of their time?
frank and the little un named one move about between hot an cold ends as normal but the big girl seems to spend nearly all the time in the cool end buy her water bowl. not just interested, apart from that shes healthy, eating and drinking.
shes in a 3ftx15"x16" viv with ceramic/guard/stat hot end is 32c
i hide in the hot end she crapped on the one in the cool end but never used it prefers to curl up behind the water bowl.
on a side note ive been reading stuff on the dark side. whats wrong with people on there? someone asks a question and end up getting slated. whats to gain from that? |

My little Royal uses both sides of his RUB, but spends most of his time exploring and wanting to come out. He's very sociable and nosy for a Royal and eats like a pig! I get the feeling he's gonna need a Viv soon, but the thought of causing feeding difficulties puts me off! |

mine are the same, girls always in her damp hide and the lad is always in the cold end. iv caught them moving a couple of times but they dont seem to want me to see! |

Perhaps they move at night.Mine seem to spend all there time on the cold side.But i've seen them move from hide to hide in the night :)
Or things have been moved in the morning  |

Duke is a cooler side snake unless he is just back in the viv then he will go have a quick bask before going back. |

mine hot hides normally, although impretty sure they go to the cool end too, mine are like ninja or jedi royals you dont see them move. |

thought it might depend on the snake. shes usually wraped round the bowl with her by her tail. the little one has a habit of getting under the heat mat its now pinned down to stop him well hopefully.
yea that pretty much sums it up blackskull glad i found these forums before i heard about the dark side |

i know what you mean about the dark side. there seems to be a click on there, if your not in with certain people they jump on you. i think they do it to feel like they are important as they don't have anything else going on in their lives lol |

depends on the royal
my female is always found in the hot hide, she sheds, poos and wees all in her warm hide most of the time, whereas my male is usually under his cold hide thing, although i think he loves that hide, its to small for him, but if i remove it he goes to his walm hide, if i put it back in he can be found again under it on the cold side, so i just leave it and then he has the choice |
