He ate, I popped him in a weaner rat and he took it in about 2 minutes, so fast that between me taking the water bowl, putting in the rat by the time I had returned with fresh water the rat was gone. I'm not getting too excited about this as he has snacked a few times during this fast but I quietly hope he gets back to feeding as he has just started to lose a bit of weight (2 grams).

LOL - bless him!

Yes, they do surprise you. I'm lucky in that I can craftily work in offering to a snake who may not eat with a snake who hopefully will...last week I offered Saada a small rat intended for Shiva, a size up from what she usually has - and she took! After only feeding once in two months!

Poor Shiva wasn't so lucky ...he had to wait for another rat to defrost but when it came he wolfed it; hasn't started his fast yet.

Congrats Duke and I bet he enjoyed his Xmas lunch!

He maybe saw everyone else eating like there was no tomorrow (as we all do on xmas day) and thought he best get something before the food ran out lol
