what do you guys think? (or is there already one?)

i was thinking it would be great to show a lil appreciation and have some fun by having a yearly forum awards

some based on official stats (from mods) like "most active user" ect

and some user based like "most helpful member" (i know where my vote would go :) )

if there was 1 what catagories would you like to see?

the problem with it is who pays for the prizes??
i think some prizes are good for certain things but the problem is is some people can take them to seriously and start to get to involved in them i.e. if there was an award for the most replies in one year, someone could try to gte this by posting random stuff on threads that really doesnt need to be said.

Personally not a fan of too many threads about a forum- I've been on a few where stuff like post count competitions (that's essentially most active user) just turns into spam wars and other forums where the mods are so super active that you can't speak freely.

To whoever all the mods/admins on here are, you guys are doing a great job, this forum has one of the best attitudes and styles I've seen, then again you guys have it easy with all the great members on here :P

LOL - Kelf you would definitely get my 'guy with the biggest surprise of the year' award - Pandora's unexpected babies!!!!

amendment - maybe Pandora should qualify for 'snake most surprised in the year' - must have been a bit of a shock to her too!

Let's hear it for Pandora!!

Could be done with more fun rather than practical awards, Gmac would you like to see the "Best Grammar in a thread" award? would get everyone battling for that prize ;)

lol, I know of a forum where the mods go in and fix grammer erors.

*Goes in and fixes Gmac's misspelt "Grammar"*

most active user oh dear can see the spam threads appearing now lol

as for most helpful member, Im not a fan of anything like this purely as there is no one way of doing thinks so all replies are helpful, ;)

From that I think its safe to assume I'm not a fan of of this ;)
