So I recently treat Monty to one of these...

...for the cold end of her viv, to reaplce the cork bark hide she was using - or not, as the case was (I think it was a little large for her). It comes with a bag of moss, but I've ditched that until shed time, and just partially filled it with Orchid bark chippings. Well, it's safe to say she likes it in there, as this is how she has spent every day since...

...and I'll be damned if I can get her to come out, which is annoying because I like to handle her for 10-15 minutes every day. No snakey play time for me!!
Perhaps this will tempt her to come out later on...

My Cape house snake has one of these in his cool end and loves it. I always find him at the bottom under the moss bless him.

She definitely prefers the cold end to the hot end - it doesn't seem to matter which hides I have at which end. So far, no regurge / digestion problems noted. She ate a big fat mouse last night and is now hiding in the hot cave - she'll probably shift in a while as I've just turned the heat lamp on.

Aww my Corn has one of these, careful it doesn't prefer this hide though to the hot side hide as you may have regurge problems, I say this because it happened to Spot, I put it towards the hot end but not right in it now.

You must have read my mind Bats - Thats exactly what I'm doing right now! The hide is on the sofa at the side of me with the lid off, and its encouraged her to come out for a wander. Probably just looking for somewhere else to hide, but still :)

Aw bless - I should think it might!

Mind you, you could pick her up hide and all and nurse her on your lap and she might deign to start exploring and socialising. She looks very content!
