As you may or may not know I am a keen hiker, I enjoy mountain climbing and today was too lovely a day to pass up the opportunity to go for a walk. So I set my sights on Slieve Donard, Northern Ireland's highest mountain at 850 metres (2789 feet). My trusty squirrel hound came along as I dont normally take him to mountain summits I thought I'd see how he got on. He did brilliantly, showed me up good and proper though I've not seen him since we got home he had some dinner and went to bed.
Anyway this is Alfie's time for a pic heavy post.
On the way up the final very steep ascent leading the way as usual.
 And what is behind me.

Huge gust of wind causes Alfie to hold onto the world

I took loads of pictures but they have all corrupted. SO annoyed. Also I cant describe to you just how windy it was, and the snow storm on the way back down way a joy lol.
