Hi All
Well i'm sure you can remember me telling you about my royal girl Mims, well there is not an awful lot of improvement but here is a slight improvement, for the last month and a bit she has been assist fed on rat pups, she has been having them every 4 days and has been keeping them down, she is pooping and drinking well as well. Today I assist fed her a rat fluff and again she has taken it and so far kept it down but I guess we will know for sure in the next 24/48 hours, after being fed the rat she did have a good drink so here is hoping it stays down and we can gradually build her back up to bigger sized feed again. I know the main challenge here is going to get her to strike feed again but for now my main worry is getting some meat onto her little body. Other than her being a triangle royal python she appears healthy but it's still very much a touch and go situation. I will keep you all updated with this little lady and will post a photo of her soon.

I am dedicated to all my reptiles and pets, in fact I've been a mug and adopted another dog into our family, he is a white english bull loool, he has had a bit of a **** life being shipped here, there and everywhere. I think he is at least part blind as he bumps into things when he is out walking and I also think his hearing isnt too great.

Sounds like you're very dedicated. I hope she continues to improve for you hun.

Thats great news she is on the mend but I agree with BATS every 4 days is putting too much strain on the digestive system, they aren't designed to be constantly digesting. Every 5 days gives the stomach a few days between meals to rest the stomach and rebuild the flora etc ready for the next meal.

Thanks Bats, I'll keep to the 4 days advised at the moment as she's going well with that. Yeah she has had me worried sick and I just pray she continues to do well and beats whatever this is. I'll be gutted if I lose her but it's something that is also highly expected still. I got frustrated a few weeks ago when I managed to get mites again but we swiftly dealt with them and they're all gone again so that's one less thing she's got to fight. just hope she keeps this fluff down so we can fight for the next stage in her recovery.

Congrats - she definitely sounds to be improving. If you don't mind me saying so, it could be a good idea to start feeding her every 5 days, especially as she's now on fluffs, as 5 days gives even a tiny snake more time to digest, but that's a small detail and just my opinion.

You must have put a lot of hard work and patience in on her - so rewarding when they start to turn the corner. Hope she goes on improving, all the best with her and well done.
