hi i am having trouble getting the humidity right in the viv, In the viv i have a 100 watt IR bulb and a heat matt both connected to a thermostat and a large water bowl in the hot end of the viv, and the thermostat is set between 80f and 82f i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas ? (i am finding the humidity drops mostly at night) cheers

i've got one of those humidity gauges the one you stick to the wall of the viv, i think the problem was that the bulb was mounted on the side of the viv so it wasn't really heating any thing up so mounted on the top now just over a large hide and water bowl and i'll see how i get on

first take the heatmat out theres no need for both heat sources an heatmats are no good for big royals.
what are you measuring the humidity with?
i would not worry to much if it drops a little overnight as the ambient temp drop a little overnight aswell

The warm end should be 90-92f and the cool end should be 80-82f

Try misting the walls to boost the humidity
