Just finished feeding my 2 royals they're rats (which im proud to say they've both been on for a couple of weeks now ) and Frankie was twisting around with her rat and for the first time I saw her teeth and was shocked at the size! She's only 6 months old... Not looking forward to taking a bite from her or Kane for that matter the sod! He is so aggressive when it comes to feeding...

Worst bite I've had so far was from an african pygmy hedgehog, didn't even shed blood but it bloody hurt! Damn rodents!
badwool Posted - 17/07/2012 : 11:02:05
cant hurt as much as a 2 year old biting you thats for sure.
coxcats Posted - 17/07/2012 : 09:39:04

Ive seen a GTP's teeth, very impressive, also seen my mate getting tagged by one on the hand, quite a lot of blood. The teeth are so fine though that the holes they made are tiny, just really deep.

As yet they have not graced my skin. Not bad had her for a good few years now.

I definitely don't fancy being bitten by one of those tree boa.
Lotabob Posted - 25/05/2012 : 23:05:08
Oh my goodness I wouldn't fancy passing teeth, lol.

And look at the way they curve back like fish hooks ...if that guy doesn't decide to let go, you've had it!

Mind you I saw an article about constrictors shedding teeth fairly regularly; the teeth go down with the prey and are regrown ...will try to find it ...yup here we are ...

Interesting!

These amaze me how delicate their little heads are and then those teeth.

What about a hoggie? lol And no, I don't intend to find out like that before anybody suggests it!
austin_89 Posted - 24/05/2012 : 23:37:21

The Emerald Tree Boa has the biggest gnashers of all the non-fanged snakes, they are HUGE, youtube has a yawning video and you will be going to A&E for stitches if it gets you I'm sure.
