So, I'm sorting the music for the village Jubilee celebrations, along with the traditional Jerusalem et al, I wanted to do something with rock/pop over the last 60 years, and as I'm just a pup, I thought you lot might have some suggestions of iconic British bands of the time, I'm thinking bands like the clash, or the stones, or the beatles.
Any suggestions

tom jones, vera lynn, englebert humperdink, dusty springfield, petula clark etc, and if you're after traditional ideas, how about 'I vow to thee my country'? that should keep the 'elders' happy :D |

Thanks Bats, I hope so, there are a lot of positives about living in a quintessential English village, but on the minus the older residents are VERY traditional, and trying to get them to hop into the 20th, let alone the 21st century is nigh on impossible, if they had their way we'd be listening to Jerusalem and abide with me all afternoon! |
