Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:21:33 I'll be moving the vivariums tomorrow evening, and was wondering whats going to be best with regards to the glass. Keep it in with the wedges and tape it to stop too much rattling / vibration, or take them out, bubble wrap or wrap in towels, something along those lines? Anyone who's moved and has any do's or don't's would be very much appreciated. (Snakes are going to super relaxed, with their nice pillow cases and padded boxes, leaving all the stress to me after a day at work.. Joy!!) |

Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:57:06 Hi Jayde,
I am a glazier so thought i'd advise. Glass is tougher than people think. On most viv's the glass is toughened, if the edges of the glass don't get hit, they should be fine. If they are snug fitting in the viv runners and not loose, I would just wedge them shut. If not I would bind them tightly with a rope (like when wrapping a parcel). Putting a sheet of newspaper in between each pane. |
