ok, just had some conformation of what killed the snake when fly spray was used..

the active ingredients in the fly spray to blame for the death of GTP were Tetramethrin .25% and Permethrin 0.02%

this is in relation to using tetramethrin and permethrin for flea treatment rather than flys, but none the less found this for you;
"Certain types of pets (e.g. fish, amphibians, reptiles and invertebrates) may be particularly susceptible to some products. Do not use any flea control products in the room in which these pets are kept without first consulting your veterinarian for advice."
From - http://www.belmontanimalhospital.us/...leaControl.doc

i have permission to share info and will post more if it is needed..

just to add to this, if on anything your using it says toxic to fish then it is highly likely to be toxic to snakes as well..

maybe this thread could be stickied or something similar to warn people of the dangers of using aerosols in the home

You're right, they can be, I've heard of air fresheners being killers for instance.

I've actually noticed the increase in flies myself >.<
