Sid is now a 4 month old royal... he is taking 2-3 fluffs when feeding, about every 5 days. When is too much???
Any feeding advice gratefully received.
Thanks

Rat Fluffs are about the size of med/large mice, about 20g.

As far as I am aware Sid was on rat fluffs. The baby mice I've just got are about onr and half times the size of the fluffs I was getting.
I'm abit weary of putting my hand in to get him out at the mo cause he seems so alert and searching?

When you say fluffs, did you mean mouse fluffs then?

Even a hatchling Royal can go straight onto adult small mice or Rat Pups. If I were you I'd swap over to Rat Pups or Rat Fuzzies/Fluffs.

Hi there
I went down to the shop and bought some baby mice as these seemed to be the next size up. He struck without a problema and took his time getting it into position to swallow. I am abit concerned though as he still seems to be hungry e.g. he shoots out of his hide when we out our hand behind the viv to switch the light on. He's already bit my husband when he put his hand in as he was due a feed and his behavior seems as though he's still hungry. The weaners the shop had looked massive and well too big for him!

2-3 Fluffs sounds like a Weaner would be more appropriate.

I would weigh him, then aim for a prey size about 10-15% of his body weight.
