Hi. My royal python after 5 months has started eating again. When I got him from pet shop they said he was eating but don't believe them. Now he is eating he is only eating gerbils. I have tried rubbing a rat over the gerbil. Tried getting him to continue eating by putting the rat in his mouth so he carrys on eating. He is active, drinking. Im unsure if feeding gerbils all the time is a good idea coz my other python just eats rats and doesn't entertain them. My question being is it ok for my python to eat gerbils and will he get the same nutriants?

I would have thought that Gerbils will be fine for your Royal, however, your wallet may not appreciate it. I'd continue trying the rats if you can. Gerbils can be a bit addictive so it may take a while to get him back onto rats.
