Hi guys, I was feeding Cerberus last night which he ate after a little game of patti cake patti cake with the rat, he tried at least three times to eat the bloody thing arm first really isn't the brightest of snakes lol, anyway to the question while he was finally eating the rat I noticed what looked like dull scales in at least three different places down his back, he has shed recently but after checking it, it seemed to be intact is it possible for him not to shed the odd scale or thee in three seperate places? I tried taking some pic's last night but you couldn't make them out on the photo's so no pic's I'm afraid sorry, any help gratefully received :)

It does sound like retained shed.

Shahi had this as a hatchling - it looked almost like 'crozzling' or scarring of his skin, except the areas were tiny. I was a bit worried and posted, and BE and Robert said, not to worry unless it was eyecaps or tailtip, and that it would eventually shed out.

It did, I'm pleased to say, but perhaps someone more experienced than me can 'shed' more light on the matter?

All the best.
