Posted - 20/04/2011 : 14:03:48 i just wanted to pass by and thank u all, i simply changed the lid to a wood one and put throw it a bulb, this rised the temp to 31-32 C and decrease the humidity pretty much so i have to spray water every few hours to the viv to keep it about 45-50%. All that helped to disappear the water blisters. Now i think i have to replace the water container to a larger one to raise the humidity without spraying water every few hours, which is stressing Blitz. |

Posted - 13/04/2011 : 19:48:30 right, i think they are water blisters. these are caused by the snake spending to much time in its water bowl due to say something like mites. do not try and pop these as then they will become infected. it is not actually water that is in the blisters, it is plasma, which is formed becasue it is trying to protect against infection if you type in on google water blisters there are alot of sites on how to treat them

Posted - 13/04/2011 : 19:02:58 Hi, Tawfik, I don't want to be a scaremonger, but I'm afraid it could be a good idea to investigate the possibility of blister disease, especially as this can be connected with mites.
And don't worry too much about his not feeding yet, if he is going into shed (which I hope and pray) he won't be hungry, or if he is off-colour, he may wait a while - but he won't starve to death.
Hope there will be a mod or someone more experienced than me along to advise you soon, and I'm not disagreeing with Kelf and Danny, but it's as well to be sure. I've seen a picture of Danny's Bow with wrinkly skin before shed but those bubbles look different.
All the very best and don't mean to scare you but if there is anything wrong, it's best to find out now and get it sorted before it gets worse.
Realy really hope it's nothing. |

Posted - 13/04/2011 : 16:42:02 They are water blisters, I think it is caused by when a shed is coming the snake spends to much time in the water bowl causing it to get under the skin. Atm I am not at home, but as soon as I get home ill get some more information on how to treat it |

Posted - 13/04/2011 : 15:22:45 Just looks like he's ready to shed to me but the pictures not very clear so I could be wrong, you sure it's water? His skins looking a bit saggy so I'd imagine it's just because he's ready for shed. I could be wrong though so best wait for somebody more experienced |
