frank is just going into blue so i have made a humid hide from small ice cream tub with a damp cloth in there as cant get any moss for a few days. should i replace his warm hide with it so he has to use it or just place it in the viv an leave it up to him?
at the moment its next to his warm hide

usually a few days after clearing up they tend to shed some can take a little longer tho.
some will feed in blue some wont same with handling some will some may be sanppy

as far a i know you dont need a humidity hide in there all the time, only when they are coming up to a shed

I have a humidity box in Oscars viv and it's always in there. He often spends a couple of hours in it. Last time he shed, I added wet sphagnum moss to it as well as the damp kitchen towel that's always in there.

How long does the shedding take place? as i'm very new to this and only had for 2 weeks now he has had 1 feed by me last week, came home from work today to see his eye's are kinda glaze over in a bluey colour and the skin on his head is wrinkley, he was due a feed today, can he still feed? and can i also take him out of his viv to do so?

well i had the humid hide in the middle an a damp cloth over his warm hide. never saw him in it. had a broken up shed 3/4 of it came off but there was some stuck on his head an neck got most of it off now with a bath an damp towel.

Stick it in the middle so he has his normal hides and an option of somewhere humid. I'm with Kelf though, I dont bother, just raise the humidity in the whole vivarium a little bit and leave them to it.

Leave it up to him, I don't even bother with a hide these days unless I know they're going to have trouble
