Posted - 25/10/2011 : 22:18:26 I need help with this issue.
I took my royals out to separate them off to feed them the other day when i noticed that my male had what looked like a raised scale. On closer inspection it turned out to be a tick.
I removed the tick using surgical tweezers grabbing it at the head so not to leave anything in the snake. I then bathed him in warm water to help the healing process as well as check for others. After this i then removed the other snakes and checked them then sterilised the tank and placed back fresh orchid bark after microwaving it to kill off anything. Its been about a fortnight now and the male has picked up another. How do i rid of these horrible beasts and is there anything to treat the snake afterwards??? |
