as most of you know when i first got derek he had burn marks from an unguarded bulb but he also had a few scales that were a bit red at the edges like they were sore.
3 months later they now look like this

it looks a little like scale rot but is only in this one place where there were red/sore looking scales.
his old viv was a mess an had not been cleaned in months, his new viv is always dry an the humidity in my room is roughly 50-65%.
im not worried as i think its another burn thats healing up just wondering what your thoughs are on it

yes he was. annoys me as it not that hard to provide the setups they need.
the other male he was co habiting with is doing really well, im friends with the woman on facebook so its nice to see pics an hear about how hes doing.
shes told me he has become a right softie(was quite hissy for the couple of weeks i had him) hes scoffing rats, putting on weight nicely an had a perfect shed the other day.

I think so - Derek was lucky to have found you.

They'll probably change appearance with every shed, and as you know they look worse just before shed - I was terrified the first time Surahi went into blue.

Poor snakes eh, just because someone didn't provide the basic setup ...

yes they look very similar to Surahi's. was just interested as they were white an sore looking and have gone darker over the few months.
would explain the colour change if thats what scaring can do

The scales look very healthy - looks like pigmentation possibly caused by the damage. I've just gone and hauled a very sleepy Surahi, who as you know has similar scars, out for a photoshoot and yes, they look pretty similar -

Don't know how old Surahi's scars are, they happened before I got her and I've had her over a year now. I'm not a medical expert but as far as I know scarring can cause changes in pigmentation.

Derek's scales look really well healed I think.
