Definitely, definitely not underweight - he's a really healthy size. As BATS said, it's the end of breeding season - a lot of snakes are getting their appetite back around now, so give him a try this weekend, if he doesn't take it, let him go another 2 weeks before trying again.

He's not going to starve in a hurry Oh yeah, and as BaTS said, those green/white "poos" are urates - basically solid little wees. He'll most likely only poo during shedding. Have fun

Hi, Dan, and welcome.

He's a beautiful lad, and I reckon the not eating is just down to settling in to a new home and also the yearly royal python fast. It's the mating season atm, and I've got a lad about his age who hasn't eaten since Halloween. This is perfectly normal and they start to eat again in the spring. Your boy doesn't look underweight at all. His feeding programme sounds fine for a snake of his weight. I should keep offering him his rat every fortnight, but don't worry if he doesn't take it just yet (just pity to waste a rat, that's all.)

The white lumps are solid wee (urates). I've seen a green motion a couple of times from a fasting snake; it's not ideal but in my experience it didn't happen again once the snake resumed eating, and she was fine. Royals don't make a mess very often - sometimes they only pass a motion when they shed, so don't worry if he doesn't go for weeks.

I think you've got a really gorgeous royal there!
