I have an adult fire called toothless, I've only had him almost a month, he seems to be getting on fine, very active and very good handler.
He's had 2 large mice since he's here. But refused a feed last week of a medium rat (i asked a friend to pick it up and she got too big) so i'm assuming he didn't eat it since he was a bit too big for him.
He's also pooped once, which was a bit wet, but I and the previous owner put this down to stress from moving?

I am going to be feeding him later on, so fingers crossed he'll eat!

ANYWAY this post is because I have one main concern, his belly gets a slight pink tinge to it, and I have no idea what this could be from??
Has anyone any ideas/suggestions/help??
Thanks,
Jess

Lol - yeah me too! Is it connected with balls???

(I mean pythons, of course!)

Good stuff. By the time you get home the snake may answer the question for you, doesn't take long for them to go blue.

PS I love your username, made me giggle.

Cool thanks, I will take a photo of him as soon as I get home and post it, It could be just an upcoming shed or normal colouration, but I would say I'd rather be safe than sorry!

As far as I remember fire bellies are clear of colouration/markings and do look a bit pinkish. Might be worth taking and posting a picture on here, I'm sure between us we can tell you if its normal or not.

I should have mentioned, I've seen pictures of upcoming shed pink belly, but his is more localized, sort of like he's blushing in parts rather than his whole body, which made me worry that it's something different? am i just being paranoid?

Upcoming shed. Reading through the stickies on the forum normally at the beginning of each catagory will provide you with the information you need to know with regards to shedding, feeding and general keeping requirements in detail.
