I don't know what is this but i thought it could be a scale rot, so i bought antibiotic cream and i've been using it for three weeks (once a week) and it looks little bit better now.
hope it will disappear after Blitz will shed.

yea Blitz always look like mess before shed :P ... and thanks alot, the situation is really bad here ... and it's look like it's just the beginning.

coxcat: I don't know exactly how old is he because there was no historical data about him when i bought him 1 year ago, but some ppl said from his pics he could be 2 or 3 years old.

Our pleasure - that's great news; you must be so relieved. I know how worried I was when the same thing happened to me and Surahi.
Tawfik47 Posted - 29/05/2012 : 12:50:50

Iodine is iodine, its a chemical element.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iodine

Tamodine is basically this stuff.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Povidone-iodine

Those websites should translate for you too which will be handy.

Tawfik47 Posted - 28/05/2012 : 14:22:05
you know Bob what would be great, if you tell what what is Tamodine (or Iodine) consist of. i have a friend work in medicine company and he can provide me with a medicine who is similar to Tamodine (from the effective materials in it).
Tawfik47 Posted - 27/05/2012 : 11:08:49
Thank you very much Bob, hope blitz will be ok after he shed.
Lotabob Posted - 23/05/2012 : 13:13:15
Tamodine is veterinary Iodine. Think it doesn't sting as much as iodine would but essentially its the same stuff. I figured Iodine would be more available than Tamodine. I will have a look into the possibility of sending you a bottle of Tamodine, I work for the Postal service here and should be able to see if I can send it, if I can I'll email you for details etc, always handy to have a bottle of Tamodine around.

I think its looking worse than it is due to the possibility of him shedding soon,

Thank you Bob and Bats for your replays, I definitely should find something to guard the bulb.
About medicines to animals (especially for reptiles), it's almost impossible to find here, specially now in these circumstances, so i'm using human medicines for Blitz (so there's no way i can get a iodine nor Tamodine.
BTW, i'v been using the cream for 3 weeks (three times - once in a week) and they all look much better now, hope they'll disappear after the shed (finger crossed).

Bob - Tamodine's better in these cases - I once treated a burn (my own) with iodine and it made it worse, but have had good reports of Tamodine, have got it in the snakey medicine cupboard just in case.

Ah - my Surahi has burn scars (from before she came to me) and the first time she went into shed, I did my nut as they looked just like that.

Vet was contacted of course but we agreed to wait until she'd shed - when the 'rot' returned to normal - great relief and hope it's the same for Blitz.

Hope this helps.

I think it actually looks like a burn, specially the one on Blitz's back, its a very neat circle of damage. The one on the belly scales looks a bit more like scale rot but this may be secondary to the initial burn. You will be better off with Iodine to disinfect the area without keeping it wet with cream. It needs to be kept clinically dry. Its not looking too deep and the damage should shed out over the next few sheds. If you bulb is unguarded you might want to knock together a light guard if you can, bit of mesh to keep him well away from the bulb.

Looking at it too, he already has the pinkish glow of a shed on its way which can make these things look even worse. If you are struggling to get Iodine let me know and I'll see what I can do in the way of getting some to you.
