Hey guys, maybe a stupid question but here it is anyway,
can female pythons lay eggs without mating? (kinda like
a chicken would lol?)

its super rare but i have heard about snakes that have never been mated laying eggs and hatching babys. think it was a burm at london zoo if im not mistaken.

after tests it showed that the babys had no father and the hatchlings were clones of the mother

think this is wahts going on with one of my corns. shes never even seen the males but has little lumps now. shes still pooing normally and the weight just suddenly shot up... phantom pregnancy??

I believe so :) yes, had a friend who'se royal had apparently never been with a mate and yet laid a bunch of unfertile eggs
