Posted - 26/08/2009 : 18:03:27 There are millions of Loci, each holding different parts of the genetic make up. Some loci will determine behaviour, some eating, some eyesight, some tongue length, some skin colour etc.
One Locus will hold the question, 'Am I Pastel or not?' At that locus there are two genes, if they are both normal the answer is 'no', if one of those genes is Pastel the answer is 'yes' because Pastel is Co-Dominant, if they are both Pastel, the answer is 'YES, YES'. |

Posted - 26/08/2009 : 17:08:47 Yeah, but the one thing i really didn't understand about the sticky at the top was the Loci. 12 loci (with a set of 2 genes on each), so a snake can have 22 normal genes and 2 pastel, how can those 2 genes override the other 22? |
