As you guys may know Piers has lent me his male fire to pair with my normal girl, so fingers crossed we may get lucky and they will lock and breed in the coming months...

Here are a few pic's of them together when I introduced them...

That's a great shame I'm sure it's a disappointment to you both especially as it seemed to be going so well, hopefully next year will be more fruitful

Hi everyone,

As BE says above we seem to have had no joy this year. We had a good pairing repsponse, with lots of good, sustained locks but unfortunately upto now no sign of her being gravid.

Unsure of the reason why, but as with all breeding plans, its never guaranteed.

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, there's been no joy this year.

pfleming Posted - 07/03/2010 : 09:23:25
oh right i get it
Blackecho Posted - 07/03/2010 : 08:41:09
Yes, they've been separated and re-introduced many times now. The more locks obviously, the more chance of success.
pfleming Posted - 06/03/2010 : 23:55:26
wow i didnt know that it could take so long.

was under the impression 'the lock' lasted a matter of days then you seperate them again, i must be wrong though

good to hear anyway, best of luck
Blackecho Posted - 06/03/2010 : 20:02:52
