Before i take a break...i need some advice..

I have Peanut a normal royal..

Echo a possible low grade Enchi, was told to put him to a spider and see what happens, but i am not keen on Spiders.

Picking up a lovely normal female royal this week...

and then a baby end of June and another Baby in a few weeks, these will be female

That will give me 3 females 2 males

I want two more males..i am thinking of morphs, not going to bother with hets...

these are my choices..

Yellow Belly (M)

Pastel (M)

Fire (M)

Mojave, not sure to get male or female on the mojave...

which would you pick and why?

will help me out if i have an understanding of why...

Anne!

Or pinstripes for that matter.

Both dominant, so you don't have to bother with hets and such.

Do you mean a Normal offspring from a Pastel x Normal pairing?

If so, no, it either has the Pastel gene and is visible or it doesn't.

If the parent is Heterozygous, the genes are different. So at the Pastel location (locus) for instance it would have one Pastel gene and one Normal gene.

That parent therefore has a 50% chance of passing the Pastel gene down and a 50% chance of passing the Normal gene.

Does that help?

would a normal bred from a pastel be able to produce pastels?

i am thinking pastel is just a colour..
