I was advised to buy a book called 'The Complete Ball Python' by a bloke called Kevin McCurly. It tells you what to breed with what to get what and has some spectacular pictures in it.

Has been discontinued in this country but still available in the USA, so try Ebay, British sellers are trying to charge stupid money for 2nd hand copies when the book retails at around £50. Ebay USA sellers post to the UK and it is quite reasonable. Hope this helps!
