Posted - 22/02/2012 : 16:58:57 Hello ladies and gents! as my lovely little lady Sahara is eating like a pig i've decided this year will be the year I find her a nice cb11/cb12 boyfriend to be ready to breed when she is. Now she is a pastel genetic stripe so ideally I want something with a het genetic stripe in it I thought about getting a pastel het gstripe to make some super pastel gstripes but i'm also torn between maybe trying to find a cinnamon het gstripe, i'm aware alot of my choice will be influenced by whats currently in the market but was wondering what genetic stripes are your favourites I want to be spending no more than 2000 for this one as I pretty much only want to buy one snake this year (ddoubt i'll stick to that! Lol) |

Posted - 28/02/2012 : 15:57:19 Pastel g-stripe is a double gene morph and a g-stripe is a single gene morph
Pastel being co dom And g-stripe being a recessive

Posted - 22/02/2012 : 19:23:39 this is all my opinion, so dont hate me for it i dont like cinnamon gs, as they are really dark and dont show off the stripe enough imo. to me with gs you want to produce a really bright animal with the black contrast in th striping. in an ideal sitauion, you want the male morph to be of higher value than the female, so to me you either get a 2 gene snake that inc. the gs gene, so like another pastel gs or a butter gs. i always said if i was going to play with the g-stripe gene, one of my goals would be a butter pastel gs. but this all depends on what you like. you might prefer the darker morphs. the options i would go for if i had a pastel gs are: 2 gene pastel gs butter gs lesser gs mojave gs albino gs hypo gs/ hypo het gs (would be hard to find since it has only just been produced) 3 gene pastel butter het gs pastel lesser het gs pastave het gs pastel albino het gs
this is all depending on what you can find
and pft, you sticking to buying only one snake this year thats like telling the pope he can only pray once a day |
