Good morning, as some of you are aware I recently bought a male pastel privately at a bargain price, this morning I decided to go and get him sexed at my local reptile shop just to be sure.

The reptile manager who is the only one I ever speak to thought he looked amazing but told me he didn't think it was a pastel and also said if it was he had never seen one that looks that good, he told me he thought it was a Mojave.

Now are there any obvious differences what do I need to look for I have already posted pics up before I'll add a link in a sec but my iPhone camera either enhances colour or dulls the colour I never really get what I call a true picture

Re-reading this I'm wondering how he could have thought it was a Mojave O.o

To be honest I thought I got a bargain when I believed it to be a pastel, I personally still do think he is a pastel but I thought it be good to check I have more pictures I will add in 5 min these do look slot closer to his true colours

The diffrent is one will be £200/£250 more

Both co-Dom
breeding both together
Mojos make white baby's with blue eyes
Pastels make a lovely brighter yellow with very nice blushing
My pastel with the flash on

Look on the world of ball pythons morph list and you will see the small variations between mojaves (much like the small differences between normals)
You can also look at the Pastel and see how they can vary. I personally think you have a good pastel, not a mojave, which is nothing to be disheartened about! A lot of pastels I've seen for sale both shoP and private breeders, haven't been very impressive or pretty :/
Maybe you could post another photo of it in a room with natural light and not use the flash to try and get a better picture, and showing the patterning so we can enter help :)
