your right there Daz..it is going for a £100

maybe i will wait and see what comes along...

I am a bit gutted that the other one fell through....though i understand cos i would not part with mine either...

i wouldnt if there are no guarantees. het's are normally more expensive...depends on the price really
wolfspirit Posted - 11/04/2009 : 15:21:51
its a friend of mine, but even he said it had no guarantees so at least he is being honest with me...will see what happens with the other one first...

Do you know and trust the breeder?

Its all down to trust really, unless you see parents, the egg laid and hatch.

so true...

its your choice but personally i wouldnt buy anything wihtout paperwork if i need the 'het' for breeding...
wolfspirit Posted - 11/04/2009 : 13:36:36
so it is just a case of taking a chance..the animal came from Hamm, but no paperwork...it is local to me, but i am not sure yet as i have my eyes on another...plus my baby in the summer...

he is a nice royal though, much lighter than Peanut.

Theres nothing visual you can look out for. Some people say that there are markers on some hets but its not on every het animal.
dazb Posted - 11/04/2009 : 13:03:29
Het is non visual im affraid. some people say there are markers for some recessive genes(im seen the pied ones) but they are not always 100%.
I would suggest that you ask for paperwork on any 'hets' you are thinking about buying.
