| i have recently bought a royal and the first time i fed him he had no hesitation in eating, i tried 2 feed him again the week after and he did not take the rat after leaving it in his viv for the night, although i was warned that royals can be this way i would just like 2 know when my royal is refusing food how often should i try and feed him ? should i wait until the next week or keep trying every day ??? and when he does'nt take his rat should i try freezing it again or throw it out (depending how long its been in the viv obviously) if anyone can advise me on this it would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

I would try every 5 days, if he takes it, try again in 5 days, if he doesn't, try again in 5 days (this is what I do for a hatchling up to ~400g.)
I personally don't re-freeze. |

| hi and welcome to the forum,i agree with blackecho and i dont refreeze either,but some do.Not worth the risk in my opinion. |
