Ok so tonight i had Nia my corn girl out just to check she was ok change her water and stuff..and she decided it would be nice to christen me..lol...
To cut along story short, after i put her back in, some of her poop fell on the floor, of i go to get some tissue to clean it up, come back in and BOTH of my dogs are on it...
Its bad enough when we are over the fields and they roll in horse poo or foxes...but snake poo
Disgusting...do you think it tastes nice or something...lol... |

When I had my Danes the female used to eat her own poo. Much internet research and consultation with the vet revealed that no one really knows why they do it, maybe they just like it.

From what I read a dietary deficiency was a popular theory, but there was no evidence to support it. As Danes have sensitive tummies they were both fed on a specific dry food which contained everything they needed, and the male always used to leave his poo alone. Plus, as you say, yours are raw fed so that scuppers that theory.
With rabbits their digestive system isn't very efficient, so they eat the grass and when they poo it's only partially digested, so they eat the poo to get the rest of the goodness out. I don't know about hamsters. |

nah, just some do some don't. I had two dogs fed ont he same thing, from the same litter, one cleaned the back garden when the other went to poo. It was disgusting.
The same dog would roll in ANYTHING smelly too. I lost count of the amount of times she came home wet as I threw her in a river to clean her off, lol |
